As construction equipment roars to life and engineers mobilize on-site, the transformation of Tubman Boulevard has officially begun signaling the start of a long-awaited infrastructure renaissance.
The overpasses are expected to drastically cut commute times, reduce vehicular accidents, and facilitate the smoother movement of goods and services critical components in stimulating commerce and improving the daily lives of Liberians.
The initiative is the latest manifestation of China-Liberia cooperation, with Chinese technical expertise supporting Liberia’s national development agenda.
Local engineers and workers are expected to be integrated into the project, providing valuable job opportunities and skill-building for the Liberian workforce.
Once completed, the overpass bridges will not only alter the landscape of Tubman Boulevard but will also stand as enduring landmarks of international solidarity and national advancement.
Construction is anticipated to progress in phases, with regular updates promised to the public. Authorities have urged patience and cooperation from commuters as traffic diversions and construction activity intensify in the coming months.
