First Lady Denies Investment Rumors

The Office of the First Lady has moved decisively to shut down what it describes as a wave of false and malicious claims attempting to link Her Excellency Madam Kartumu Yarta Boakai to an entity known as “Fidelity Investment.”

In a statement issued Wednesday, the Office dismissed the allegations circulating primarily through private chat groups and informal online platforms as entirely fabricated and designed to mislead the public.

According to the statement, Madam Boakai has no connection whatsoever to any company operating under the name “Fidelity Investment,” nor to any related entity.

The Office stressed that the First Lady has never invested in, discussed, held shares in, or been associated with such a company, and that any purported documentation suggesting otherwise is fictitious.

The Office condemned what it described as the reckless spread of disinformation by individuals falsely presenting themselves as insiders or affiliates of the First Lady’s Office, warning that such actions undermine public trust and violate ethical standards.

“The circulation of these claims is not only false but deliberately harmful,” the statement noted, urging citizens to exercise caution, reject unverified information, and refrain from amplifying rumors.

To counter misinformation, the Office clarified that all official statements, activities, and announcements concerning the First Lady are communicated exclusively through its verified Facebook page, First Lady of the Republic of Liberia, and through the Media and Communications Section at the Executive Mansion.

The statement further warned that the Office reserves the right to pursue appropriate action against individuals or entities found to be intentionally spreading false and defamatory information.

The Office reaffirmed its commitment to transparency and public accountability, emphasizing that the integrity of the First Lady and the institution she represents will be protected against deliberate falsehoods.
