In September of 2004 the political pendulum took a swing in favor of soccer star George Oppong Weah when he was overwhelmingly petitioned to contest the 2005 presidency by, and through several diverse groups of Liberians that encompassed majority of those from the ruts of the country's grassroot population and echelons of its geographical and political mosaics in Monrovia.
In my thinking thoughts I considered recent events that unfolded on August 5, when the National Elections Commissions officially declared the 2023 elections campaign period officially open. In a bid to showcase their perceived “one-time victories”, supporters of the ruling Coalition for Democratic Change (CDC) and the Unity Party (UP) were unleashed.
