We have again observed conscientiously that the Government of Liberia(GoL) Regulation against the mismanagement of public properties, particularly vehicles is still being ignored by some public officials and personnel, despite stern warning against the unwarranted act.
We are still concerned about the multiplying cases of motor accidents, particularly in Monrovia and other parts of the country.
A call by participants, who attended the Catholic Justice and Peace Commission (JPC) one- advocacy workshop recently for inter-faith religious leaders in Monrovia, for the Government of Liberia(GoL), through the Ministry of Finance and Development Planning (MFDP), to be transparent and open in expending funding from international partners, must be heeded.
There is a need to continue highlighting the situations of women and girls who suffer violence and abuses in the county so as to influence policy and decision makers to find ways of reducing and/or alleviating these vices in our society.

We are again underscoring the urgent need for the Government of Liberia (GoL) through the Ministry of Public Works to put into place proper mechanism aimed at dealing with the continuous flooding in the country, especially in Monrovia and its environs.
Before the outbreak of Liberia’s bloody armed conflict in 1989, the country was regarded as one of the most peaceful nations and a beacon of hope on the African Continent.
In series of our past editorials, we strongly detested violence as a means of solving grievances, because, like we pointed out, violence does not solve problem, but rather exacerbates it.
